Darren Sammy will be joining the West Indies Cricket Board as a member of the Board of Directors
A lot of things are happening these days but what happened with Sammy is a dream come true. Recently the cricket board of West Indies chose Sammy as a member of the Board of Directors.
With his appointment, Sammy and his fans are on cloud nine and they should be. It is a moment of celebration for the 2012 and 2016 world cup stars of the West Indies. Currently, he has participated in the Pakistan Super League with the team Peshawar Zalmi.
Furthermore, he stands with St. Lucia Zouks, in the Caribbean Premier League, as a consultant. While sharing this moment of happiness on the official website of the West Indies Cricket, he was saying that he is bound to perform all duties for the board and he would deliver every task with dedication.
He also added how thankful he is for all the opportunities that he got, whether local or international. He said it is an honor to connect with the West Indies cricket board like this. The board of members also welcomed Darren saying they are delighted to welcome Sammy as a member of the board.
He also added that he knows that Sammy would ensure that the right questions are being asked because he is aware of the needs of the player as well as the game. Remaining of the achievement of Darren Sammy as two-time world cup winning captain he said that his experience would bring him the perspective they need for valuable insights on this modern-day cricket.
The council already knew how valuable the player was and he is also the first player from St. Lucia Zouks Darren’s motherland, who has got a stadium named after him.
