Kyle Jamieson’s abilities lauded by Sachin Tendulkar

The master blaster has been quite active in front of the media during the World Test Championship. He supported the teams when required and also pointed out the mistakes of players. Recently in a YouTube video on his channel, he was applauding the New Zealand player Kyle Jamieson.

Tendulkar said that Kyle Jamieson has the potential to become the nicest all-rounder of all the players in the world. It was evident in the WTC performance of Kyle Jamieson. He marked 7 for 61 which needed him 44 overs only. He also scored 21 runs for his team that was indeed needed.

He said that Jamieson had been interested his last year in New Zealand too. He even declared that the conditions of England made Kyle much lethal for the Indian team. Sachin said that Jamieson likes to deliver seaming balls and he gets support if his height for doing so. He said that Jamieson has everything off the seam and he hits the deck hard.

Tendulkar pointed out the usefulness of Kyle’s height. He said that the tall batter took the balls in the forefront which in turn unnerved the bowlers. He also appreciated the crucial partnership between Jamieson and Williamson.

Giving his take on his game he said that when a batsman uses his height the bowlers have to pull back their lengths. This makes the ball not reach the height of the chin and the batsman gets a chance to play “horizontal bat shots”. Further, he added that Jamieson used this opportunity with the use of his height.

Describing the game of Indian players the Cricket God said that the most important part was before the drinks break for India. Then they should have used ” firepower to accelerate and play the shots”.
