India tour of Sri Lanka, India needs to think about the vice-captain option as well
Things are getting more complicated in Sri Lanka for the Indian team. The team, which Shikhar led, was swaying the bats with power in all the matches. But the enthusiasm was taken aback after the news tomorrow that declared Krunal being positive for the Coronavirus.

No other player is infected with the virus yet, but due to being in close contact with Krunal, they need to stay isolated for the coming few days. A report from Sri Lanka indicated that a total of 8 players were in close contact with Krunal. Now all of them will be isolated to keep away from healthy players. Shikhar Dhawan is one of those eight players.

Being a captain, he is an important player to be missed on. Now Bhubaneswar Kumar will have to lead the team for the remaining two T20 matches. The eight players going in isolation, including Dhawan, are Hardik Pandeya, Yujvendra Chahal, Manish Pandey, Krishnappa Gowtham, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, and Prithvi Shaw.
None of the players stated above would be playing the remaining T20s against the Lankan team. Following the isolation of Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav, their traveling to England would be halted for a few days too. BCCI is confused over how Krunal got infected by the virus as he was strictly following the covid norms like every other player.
After Krunal found positive, the match was postponed and will be played today at 8:00 PM IST. While the whole Indian squad will come back home on 30th July, Krunal will follow the 2-week quarantine in Sri Lanka. He would be able to return home only after he tests negative for two RT-CPR tests. Even after returning home, the players would be kept isolated for their betterment.
