‘Incredibly Important Cricket Game’ says Kevin Peterson

Weather forecast for day 5

It was raining on Monday, yet for cricket fans, it was a dry day, as they did not get to watch their favorite players do magic on the field. We all are helpless in this situation and rain does not seem to do anything to help. But all the fans are lashing out their anger at the ICC. Former England right-handed batsman Keven Peterson too!

In a tweet that he posted on his official Twitter account on the 21st of June at 7:02 pm, he said, ” It pains me to say it, but a ONE-OFF & incredibly important game should NOT be played in the UK”.

Suggests ICC get a new venue for WTC

Later Kevin also suggested that the venue should not be England for this incredible championship because the weather stays completely unpredictable in June. He later added that the tournament could have been held in Dubai which is a rather better place according to weather, with a relatively decent stadium.

The tweet on his official Twitter account that was posted eighteen minutes later on the same day of the above-mentioned tweet said If it was in his hands he would have hosted the match in Dubai.

Further the tweet declared that Dubai has a neutral venue, the stadium are fabulous for hosting international matches, and ICC headquarter is also in Dubai.

Just like Peterson, Former Indian Batsman, VVS Laxman too commented on Star Sports that ” we are excited that there is reserve day but I’m not sure whether the game can finish if the rain continues”.

Weather prediction

Being said, it is day 5 in Southampton, and more rain is predicted even today by the weather forecast at 6:30 am. Yet there is hope that a few overs can be laid in between.
