Australia gets a new chief selector on the cricket board as George Bailey
Good news has come from overseas fans as they will see their favorite cricketer as a mentor and selector on the Australian cricket board. The former Australian cricket player has already been a panel member since February this year. He has replaced Trevor Hohns. Trevor was a fine selector and is now retiring by bidding goodbye to the game as a selector.
George added his words for the incredible selector, saying that he thanked Trevor for all he did for the national team. Bailey realized that Trevor could do this job effortlessly and be consistent in all his challenging jobs. George said that he had learned a lot from the man and would use all the knowledge in his journey ahead.
Now George will be the one choosing players for the Australian men’s cricket team. It is expected from him to see the potential of a gem in mere men who want to join the cricket for his country. George has been a great player in his time and has performed his job perfectly as a captain in his duration.
Trevor Hohns is leaving a great legacy that George had to manage to curate into a beautiful one. Trevor was appointed as a selector in 1991. He’s been a diamond chooser for the Australian team as the teams curated by him have won various games and tournaments. The Ashes series is one, to name a few. The team led to 16 consecutive wins in tests only.
The Australian team also won two One Day World Cups with the players that Hohns had selected. At last, Hohns concluded his journey as a fortunate one. He added his extreme accomplishment by being implicated with the great players of Australia.
